Welcome to Heron's Rest! Cosy one bedroom studio surrounded by greenery in the tranquility of the countryside looking over the nature reserve of the Gearagh. Conveniently located 3 kms from the bustling town of Macroom halfway between Cork city and the tourist town of Killarney. Also 30 mins drive away is the beautiful scenic valley of Gougane Barra and further southwest is Bantry town. All beautiful places for walking and hiking but also shopping and eating. 25 minutes drive is Cork Airport and 55 minutes drive is Kerry Airport.
Dear guest, my husband Tom and I are looking forward to greeting you to our newly built studio here in the heart of the quiet countryside of Castleview. Heron’s Rest is a one bedroom with a king size bed and a bathroom with a spacious shower. We provide a continental breakfast with cereals, toast, orange juice, yogurt, fruit, tea and coffee. We hope you will enjoy some rest and relaxation here at Heron’s Rest overlooking the Gearagh lake.
We live 2 miles from Macroom town. A short 25min drive to Cork airport and 55mins to Kerry airport. We are located southwest Cork close to many picturesque places eg the southwest Atlantic costal drive, lakes of Killarney, Gougane Barra and many more.
