"Hollybanks" is charmingly located up a little lane, 1 minute drive from Moycullen village, the gateway to Connemara. NOTE: CAR IS ESSENTIAL. Hollybanks is in a rural location and public transport from the village is limited. To fully explore the area a CAR IS ESSENTIAL, parking is FREE at Hollybanks. Ideally located to visit Kylemore Abbey, Connemara National Park, the Aran Islands, Inishboffin Island, Roundstone and Cliften all within in an hours drive. A 20 minuite drive will bring you to explore the mediavial city of Galway and a breathtaking drive over the mountain road to the quaint Irish speaking village of Spideal, offers views of the Aran Islands out in the Atlantic Ocean. The village of Moycullen has several restaurants, grocery shop's, pub's, pharmacy's. If you would like to bring your dog, you must notify me. There is one room suitable for dogs to stay in with their owner. Dogs must not be left unattended at the property. You must be responsible for your dog at all times and respectful to other guests. Dogs are not allowed up on the chairs in the main reception room. You must clean up dog poo, poo bags can be provided if you need them, and they can be left with me to dispose of. There is a cleaning fee per dog per stay. NOTE: To fully enjoy all that Connemara and Galway city has to offer A CAR IS ESSENTIAL when staying at Hollybanks.
I enjoy meeting people, especially visitors from abroad, and since I moved here from Dublin city in 2001, I love the tranquillity of the location, the breathtaking scenery of Connamara and the Wild Atlantic Way so much, I want to share this experience with others.
