Lilac Manor is set back from the road and has good parking facilities for guests. The property is only a five minute drive to the city. All bedroom are big and have an ensuite bathroom. There is a spectacular view of the Benbulben and Knocknarea mountain ranges from the property and an abundance of farm animals in the surrounding fields. Sligo is a picturesque county with lots of activities for guests, such as mountain and forest walks, waterfalls, horse riding, surfing, W. B Yeats exhibition centre, Hyde Bridge Gallery, and relaxing in a variety of restaurants and coffee shops after a day of shopping. Lilac Manor is ideal as you are situated in the countryside while been close to the city.
Hello and a warm welcome to all of our guests. Lilac Manor is operated by Ellen and Terence. We are a friendly couple who enjoy gardening especially growing fresh fruit and vegetables. I also enjoy craft work such as embroidery, long stitch and knitting. We enjoy meeting new people and travelling overseas from time to time. We hope you enjoy your stay with us and we are always available to assist you during your stay.
The property is just outside of Sligo city and is situated in the countryside. Guest are surrounded by mountain ranges, farm animals, stunning sunsets and a variety of walking trails. Some of the popular walking trails are Hazelwood, Glencar Waterfall, Garavogue River. Sligo people are friendly and helpful and enjoy a chat. A great surfing area can be found at Strandhill. The property has onsite parking and access to Enniskillen in Northern Ireland is a only 64 kilometres drive. The nearest airport is Knock which is 59 kilometres drive. Horse riding is available at Island View riding stables in Grange which is 19 kilometres drive. Sligo is steeped in history with poets such as W.B. Yeats, Queen Maeve, Diarmuid and Grainne's Cave, Seaweed baths in strandhill, Countess Markievicz tour at Lisadell House and many more adventures awaits tourists.
