Characterful traditional stone cottage situated on the Mullet Peninsula. The Cottage has retained many of the original features with the addition of bespoke furnishings. It is set in a quite peaceful rural location with direct access to a small secluded beach . Only 5 minutes drive from the expansive Cross beach, Carne Golf Course and Belmullet town, and 10 minutes from the stunning views south of the peninsula. The “Mullet” and the offshore islands are a haven for bird watchers providing important breeding site for waders like Snipe and Lapwing, and the rare Red Necked Phalarobe. In addition a Corncrake has been identified adjacent to the cottage and visitor’s may hear him calling at night.

This unique corner of North West Mayo is famed for its diverse wildlife habitats, its spectacular sea cliffs and sandy beaches, its rich maritime heritage, historic lighthouses and off shore islands. It has something to offer visitors of all ages. From surfing, paddle boarding, hiking and fishing, to birdwatching, sea swimming and golfing. Or simply take time out and enjoy some of our wonderful sunrises and sunsets. The area is friendly and welcoming and is well served by hotels and pubs, art and heritage centres and hosts many festivals and cultural events throughout the summer.
