From the front driveway is a stunning view of Ben Bulben rolling into the Atlantic Ocean. Approximately 5km away is the surfing paradise of Aughris Head with great food served at The Beach Bar. If surfing is not your thing you can take in the beautiful beach of Dunmoran Strand and dip your toes in the softly lapping water. The well renowned and recently Blue Ribbon awarded beach of Inishcrone is a short 20 minute scenic drive away. A short drive in either direction will take you to either Sligo Town or Ballina with all their great shops, eateries and pubs to enjoy exploring. If you’re a walker, then the Yeats Trail is a must. The looped route has 14 locations beginning at the foot of Knocknarea and taking in places like Rosses Point, Lissadell and Glencar. Or how about the Sligo Camino, a mere 34.5km walk from Dromhair, Co. Leitrim to Coolaney, Co. Sligo. Public Transport (local bus), stops right along the N59 for your convenience. Definitely lots to see and do whether you want an active holiday or a quiet getaway. This little part of Sligo has plenty to offer everyone.
