A charming, fully renovated 19th century Irish cottage situated on the spectacular Beara peninsular and just 2.5km from the Dzogchen Beara Buddhist centre. Both properties have been tastefully restored and extended to retain their charm while accommodating all of the modern day living requirements such as Wi-Fi, Sky TV, fully kitted out kitchen (inc. dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, oven and induction hob and of course the coffee machine). The 2 bed house (The Rose Cottage) The living room consists of an open plan lounge and dining table with multi fuel stove. There are 2 cosy bedrooms, the master with a king size bed and the second bedroom with two singles. The bathroom offers a little touch of luxury with separate shower and bath and underfloor heating. There’s a large utility room for your convenience with separate washing machine and tumble dryer. The 3 Bed House (The Hay Shed) There’s a spacious open plan kitchen/diner with plenty of room for everyone to have space to spread out at either the dinning table or the large kitchen island. This connects directly through to the comfy living area with all you need for a relaxing evening in. There are 2 bedrooms: the master has a king size bed and the second bedroom has a double bed. The piece de resistance is the wonderful mezzanine bedroom with its 2 single beds (a great place to chill out and maybe have an afternoon snooze). The bathroom boasts a walk in rain shower and underfloor heating. Both properties have ample parking and around the back of the property is a landscaped garden with picnic benches for those mornings, enjoying a coffee and chat about the plans for the day or enjoying an evening under the stars.

We moved to the area over 20 years ago after falling in love with the Beara peninsula and its amazing scenery and friendly atmosphere. We love to get out and about and enjoy the many beaches and walks in the area.

Beara has often been described as Irelands best kept secret and for good reason. If you take a drive along the Wild Atlantic Way you are guaranteed a spectacular view around every twist and turn. This is not a road to drive quickly but to enjoy and take in the scenery as it unfolds in front of you. Along the way there are some amazing little villages all offering various options for food and drink. This is an area you’ll want to come back to time and time again.
