Excellent location , the pods had everything you needed and had direct access onto a little private pebble beach . 5 min drive to castletownbere and about 20 back to glengarriff . Restaurant on site , beautiful views and quiet and peaceful . Kids loved it

The property was sooo nice, free parking outside the door, the best breakfast in the downstairs restaurant, couldn’t ask for a better stay, and so quiet! The room was absolutely spotless. Everyone we met were nicer than the next & can’t wait to book with Lynch’s again soon

Castletownbere is a hidden gem on the Beara Peninsula, surrounded by breathtaking mountains and the sea. We loved exploring the area and watching the sunset by the coast—it was the perfect place to take some truly stunning photos. Ballydonegan Beach is well worth a visit, and the scenery throughout the area is simply spectacular. Being on the Ring of Beara route makes it an excellent base for exploring one of Ireland's most beautiful landscapes. Highly recommended for anyone who loves nature, coastal views, and peaceful surroundings.

My family are from here and we always enjoy returning in the...

My family are from here and we always enjoy returning in the summer. Recommend seeing Dunboy Castle and getting the seafood chowder from Murphy's Restaurant. Good to support the local fisherman and local businesses. MacCarthy's Bar in the square is famous and we enjoy spending time with the owner, Adrienne and her pug! Other towns such as Allihies are also great to visit but a car is needed.

We enjoyed island trips to Bere island an Dursey island. We visited the Buddhist Meditation centre, Josie's fish restaurant with lake view, Eyeries. We went for many walks in beautiful areas and enjoyed the scenery. The trip on the ferry and in the cable car was also nice. Unfortunately, Dunboy Castle was fenced off, so we could only admire it from a distance.

Have been visiting for many years, and always feel I’m coming home every time. Lovely friendly people, great location. Two excellent restaurants, John Murphy and Breens. The chowder at Breens is rightly famous, it’s the best on the Beara! Murthy’s food is excellent, and reasonably priced. Lynch’s on the Pier also really good. The town could do with one or two more restaurants, Castletownbere has a lot of visitors and the restaurants get booked up very quickly - it’s advisable to book. More town based accommodation would be good, as there is no hotel. The town is very walkable, with interesting shops. Must mention Gary in South west communications, he will sort out all your tech and mobile problems!

Harbour view stay made us very comfortable and welcome. The restaurants were very pleasant and the surrounding area a must to see with Dunboy Castle and Puxley Mansion. The copper mines and museum 20 mins away is a must. Short or long stay it can provide all you desire. But do make sure to visit Mac Carthy’s Bar. A great relaxing evening is assured.

Lovely escape to a bit of peace and tranquility.

Lovely escape to a bit of peace and tranquility. There is plenty to do in the area - hikes, Dursley cable car, Bear Island - but equally lovely to enjoy relaxing in a pub or playing scrabble in front of a fire. The people are very friendly and the restaurants are fantastic- wonderful food and great atmosphere. Highly recommended if you want to go off grid and relax.

Excellent hostess , so well ran and communication, so much comfort in the room better than any hotel I've stayed in ,spotless room, large showers, choice for breakfast, isn't anything to fault not 1 thing , and walking distance to pub and for food , even in my heels !!

We spent a night in Castletownbere at this accommodation and it was fantastic. The rooms were large, spotless, and the beds were cozy, situated right in the heart of the town. The staff was delightful and even suggested some great pubs and restaurants. A solid 10/10

Cosy ‘living’ pod with underfloor heating and some cooking facilities (microwave, air fryer, single electric stovetop ring - no oven). The bed was comfortable. It was within walking distance to the town/harbour and castletownbere is a good base for this area.

We had a fantastic family stay in the pods. With kids it was better than any hotel as they could run outside while we were cooking BBQ / snack/ breakfast etc … very happy and definitely in plans to return
