Rose Cottage is a stunning two bedroom cottage situated in Killala, County Mayo, along the Wild Atlantic Way. A base for couples, families or friends looking to explore the Irish coastline and enjoy authentic Irish charm. Upstairs, there are two comfortable double bedrooms, along with a bathroom with a shower. Downstairs, the cottage has a bright open-plan kitchen and living area, with two separate lounging areas (one sofa bed), two smart TVs, and Wi-Fi throughout the property. In the colder months, guests can cosy up and light the stunning solid fuel stove. Outside, guests can enjoy a private garden with a patio area, BBQ, and outdoor furniture, ideal for morning coffee, outdoor dining, or relaxing in the fresh air after a day out exploring. The cottage is located in the charming coastal village of Killala, with four local pubs within walking distance, along with the harbour and beautiful village surroundings. Killala is surrounded by stunning beaches and coastal scenery, making it a lovely spot for walks, sea air, and exploring the west coast. Rose Cottage is also a great base for visiting nearby towns and attractions. Ballina is around a 15-minute drive away, while Westport is roughly one hour by car. The dramatic cliffs and sea stack at Downpatrick Head are about 19 km from Killala, and the famous Céide Fields are around 22 km away, both making fantastic day trips from the cottage.
