Cummins Cottages based in a rural setting consists of two cottages; Old Post Office, and Shannon Breeze located in Ballycrissane, Co. Galway. Old Post Office Cottage: The 300 year old traditionally restored cottage was formerly the local post office for Ballycrissane and surrounding area. Shannon Breeze Cottage: The red and white cottage which was originally a stable has been renovated into a traditional style. The cottages consists of living & dining room, two bedrooms, a bathroom, medium size kitchen with all necessary equipment required. Cummins Cottages is an ideal base for touring for example Cliffs of Moher, part of Wild Atlantic Way, Connemara, Lough Derg Drive, Birr Castle and Gardens, and Portumna Castle and Gardens, Portumna Forest Park with excellent nature trails.
I enjoy meeting new guests and welcoming previous guests back. I like walking and touring. I take special care of my guests as I live beside the cottages. I give advice to my clients regarding scenic tours ,historical sites, entertainment ,pubs and restaurants. It was always my policy to provide an optimum level of service to my guests.
Ballycrissane is a quaint rural village in South East Galway. We are 4km away from the River Shannon where you can take a walk along the scenic Shannon bank or enjoy a day fishing at the salmon run. We are 7km from Portumna, a town consisting of supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, pubs, shops, tourist attractions including Portumna Castle and Gardens, Portumna Workhouse, Portumna Forest Park.
