If you want to get away from it all and enjoy a relaxing stay somewhere quiet and relaxing then this unique hand crafted shepherds hut is perfect for you. Situated 15 minutes from Galway city and close to Ashford castle and Cong it is the ideal base to explore Galway and Connemara. The Shepherds hut has a large double bed bathroom and a kitchen. It also has a large garden in which you can relax and stargaze or enjoy a beautiful sunset. We are located down a quiet country lane which offers peaceful walks and lots of animals and local wildlife to admire. We offer a welcome hamper on arrival and we live just down the lane in a three hundred year old thatch cottage so we are on hand should you have any queries .

We live just down the lane from the hut so if you need any advice or tips on the local area we are here to help. We are keen gardeners so there is an abundance of fresh flowers and veg in the summer. Denise is a wonderful cook as well so guests can expect lots of tasty treats and soda bread.

If you want to switch off from everything or you are looking for a romantic stay then this Shepherds hut is the place for you. it is very peaceful yet we are 5 minutes drive to local shops and pubs and 15 mins in to Galway city. There are local buses into Galway too and local taxis should you need a lift. There are lots of local walks and we are 5 minutes drive to lough Corrib.
