We look forward to welcoming you to They Haycart, a cosy and relaxing self-contained place to stay. Situated in the rambling countryside, you will enjoy beautiful surroundings and tranquil scenery. Equipped with a full double bed, a pull-out sofa bed which can sleep 2, kitchenette (located in a renovated horse-box, including kettle, toaster, fridge, microwave, induction hob and air-fryer, cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils and pots and pans) full shower room (also located in a renovated horse-box which has a shower, sink and toilet), balcony, wifi, outdoor furniture and free parking. Located just 13 minutes from Gort (which has bus and train links to Galway) and 20 minutes from Loughrea. Ideally situated to visit areas of beauty in South Galway, Clare and Galway City.
Situated in idyllic countryside at the foot of the Sliabh Aughty mountains you will be assured of a peaceful and private stay at The Haycart. The historic market town of Gort is a short 13 minute drive away, with numerous restaurants and shops, train links to Galway and Ennis and it is also home to Coole Park, a beautiful nature reserve. Thoor Ballylee, the former home of renowned poet WB Yeats is a 7 minute drive away and an ideal location to unwind beside the river and have a picnic. North Clare, which lies just beyond Gort and is home to the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher is less than an hour's drive from the property. Whether you want to stay as a base for touring or just want to stay put and relax, The Haycart is the place for you.
