The house was originally built for the harbour-master in 1820 and is one of Clifden's oldest buildings. The Quay House has fourteen individually furnished bedrooms all with bath/shower rooms. There are two large reception rooms boasting antiques, original paintings and an open fireplace. Breakfast is served in a large and attractive conservatory.
Toby was born into the hospitality business and along with his French partner, Pauline, has taken over the running of The Quay House from his parents Paddy and Julia Foyle. The Quay House has been established for over thirty years.
Clifden, known as the 'capital' of Connemara is a good base for sight-seeing this beautiful area. There are wonderful beaches within driving distance, great walks and hikes.
