Myself and my wife Mary have lived in Dunkineely for over 50 years and we love helping our guests see Dunkineely and the surrounding areas through our eyes. We are always on hand to answer any questions and give any insider tips on the best places to go.
Village Cottage is located in a lovely little village of Dunkineely and is nestled between the fishing port of Killybegs, 8km away and Donegal Town 17km. It is a 15 min drive (10km) to 'TraBan' a lovely little beach and the light house of St John’s Point. We are surrounded by many blue flag beaches such as Fintra beach which is situated a few minutes from Killybegs. Killybegs is also the gateway to Slieve League, the highest sea cliffs in Europe. In Dunkineely we have 3 local pubs plus a lovely Chipper. We also have our local butcher and Floyds our local supermarket where you will find all your necessities.
