Offering spectacular views of the Dartry mountain range, including Benbulben and Kings mountain, Willow Cottage is located in Drumcliff, Co. Sligo. This traditional thatched cottage is an ideal base for your stay in Sligo as it is surrounded by wonderful countryside and mountain views yet is very close to all attractions and amenities. Glencar Waterfall is only 4.5km, W.B. Yeats Grave is 5.5km while Sligo town is 9km. North Sligo is renowned for it's idyllic beaches and you will be spoilt for choice with numerous beaches only a few minutes drive; Rosses Point 11km; Lisadell 11km; Streedagh 15km and Strandhill 18km. The surrounding area is also well known for walkins and hiking. The Benbulben Forest Walk is only a few km away, while the property itself lies at the base of Kings Mountain. The property offers access to an outdoor seating area, free private parking and free WiFi. The cosy apartment has 3 single beds, 1 en-suite , dining and relaxation area, a flat screen t.v., kitchenette and the large windows offer wonderful mountain views. There is also 24/7 heat and hot water.

We always had the dream of living in a thatched cottage and in 2015 we were fortunate enough to purchase Willow Cottage. We love the outdoors and being surrounded by so many walks, beaches etc. is a delight for us. Our daughter Luci loves playing in the garden, especially swinging on the the swing from our Ash tree.

Local attractions include two stunning waterfalls namely The Devil's Chimney and Glencar Waterfall. The teaSHED coffee shop and playground offer views of Glencar Lake. Glencar Alpaca Tours is also a lovely way to spend an evening walking through the valley. The Spanish Armada Visitor Centre and Sligo Abbey are also well worth a visit. There are many award winning restaurants and pubs in the locality. Yeats Tavern a well known tourist stop is 5km, while Austies Pub and Kitchen in Rosses Point 11km, always has a friendly welcome for visitors. It's outdoor seating area with views of the Atlantic as well as it's creamy pints of Guinness are a must on any visit to Sligo. Harrisons Bar and Restaurant 18km also serve delicious food. Vintage Lane cafe is a quaint coffee shop located in Branley's Yard, Rathcormac 5km where you will get your tea served in an antique china cup and their scones are second to none. There is also a farmer's market in the yard every Saturday morning, selling local foods and crafts. The area is also a big hit with cyclists of all abilities as there are numerous quiet side roads that await your discovery. The nearest airport is Ireland West Airport Knock 63km.
