Our homestay is located amidst nature, surrounded by abudance of wildlife, a 10 min walk to the blue waters of Rungdung River and serene forest trails home to peacocks, deers and hundreds of native birds.
Almost all the Food here is plucked directly from the farm and served. All our guests are part of a big family we have and are most welcome to explore various aspects of the traditional culture here, cuisines and lifestyle of the people. Everyone is welcome with warmth :)
Property is located 2 km and 2.1 km from Badamtam Tea Garden and Glenburn Tea estate respectively.
We, Mohan and Jashoda welcome our guests with love and warmth into our home.
I am a passionate carpenter and have built a lot of this place on my own.
My wife, Jashoda is an amazing cook, her natural delicious food and warm presence will make our guests feel at home.
We are also attending to our vegetable garden and livestock.
I am knowledgeable about the culture and traditions of the ancient Nepali Subba/Limbu tribe and history of the place and very welcoming to share and learn with conversations.
We in our daily lives use medicinal herbs and plants and are willing to share our traditions with our guests.
Beautiful mountaineous forest walks can be enjoyed by guests just 5 mins from the homestay where several native species reside.
Darjeeling is 16 km away from the homestay.
Chulidara statue of Lord Buddha is situated 4 km from our place from where views of Kanchenjunga can be enjoyed.
Tiger Hill is 21 km away from the property.
The Border of Nepal is 45 km away and Sikkim border( Rangbang bridge) is 15 km away from the property by road and 1.6 km walking distance through the woods crossing several trails and streams.
