Waking up every morning to the great view to Kanchenjunga was an incredible experience. The room was spacious and comfortable with cozy wooden interior and a split-level layout. There was an electric heating mat on the mattress so we never felt cold in our room during the winter time. Maintaining a property in the mountain area is never an easy task and the hotel staff has done a great job in providing a comfortable accommodation to their guests. The complimentary shuttle service to the city centre, although with time restriction, is convenient and reliable.

This is an exceptionally beautiful Tibetan style hotel. Absolutely stunning decorations and with all modern comfortable rooms. I had a room with a view to the mountains with huge windows. The location is perfect if you want to be in the thick of things. Staff were extremely kind and thoughtful. I rarely gush over hotels but this one is truly great. Huge breakfast as well with delicious food available all day.

Good location, quiet, clean and comfy. It was very cold outside but the mattresses were heated, electrical heather was available and great hot shower, so it was very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was practical to eat in the hotel but there are also good restaurants near by. I totally recommend this hotel, great value for money! It was much better than another hotel I spent one night at same price.

The toy train ride was nostalagic and exceptionally well...

The toy train ride was nostalagic and exceptionally well organized, trip to Ramtze ruins was also very good. However the bird park, tiger hill were a dissappointment. Extraordinarily crowded roads lead to traffic jams for more than 2 hours. Not a great time to visit during tourist season. Children would love the toy train though

Loved the morning walk along the Observatory Hill Rd to Mall Rd and back. Lovely old bake houses like the Glenary / Flurys , lovely old Book house, and Habeeb Mullicks artifact shop at the square. The weather was lovely at this time of the year ( may). Unfortunately there is too much traffic and pollution due to the tourist vehicles as also too many tourists thronging the Mall rd .

A must visit place where you live your life in nature.

A must visit place where you live your life in nature. Tea gardens are the heart of Darjeeling. Must try mirik visit whose way is full of pine tree locations and tea gardens as well as on Nepal border you have chance to visit 4-5 site by taking Nepali taxi from border. It has must visiting place if you have time. Rope way of 5 km also much exciting.

Darjeeling indeed is one of the most lovely place to visit alone, as a couple or with family. The scenery is enjoyable and beautiful with breathtaking view. Places to visit around are amazing. Weather conditions to be checked prior to visit. Weather is very dynamic and change very suddenly.

Amazing.... QUEEN OF THE HILLS.

Amazing.... QUEEN OF THE HILLS. There is no other place like this... It proves that God's creation is so amazingly Beautiful. bBut be careful about the weather and take both warm cloths and also be prepared for rain and mist... Be prepared for elderly and children. Elderly people can go to Darjeeling only if they have enough health

To explore Darjeeling you need to go beyond the known routes. Meet with local people in small roadside shacks, enjoy warm bowl of aloo mimi, shop local crafts and products genuinely made at hills, sit in solitary soaking the hill vibes.....that would make the travel special. Make it slow travel to let Darjeeling open her stories to you.

Breakfast was very good. They even made us a packed breakfast for a 5.30 AM departure. Different themes every day for the breakfast. It was great to have breakfast with the hosts and other guests. Location of the property is fantastic. The views must be stunning on a clear day. Close to Mall Road and all iconic parts of Darjeeling.

I couldn't find this hotel at 51 Gandhi Rd, Darjeeling, so I then had to book into another hotel. There was NO hotel, at all, at 51 Gandhi Rd, and nobody I asked knew of it's exustence. There WAS a Sagarmartha hotel at 63 Gandhi Rd, Darjeeling, but they had no idea about any booking for me.
