Vatika Homestay is our ancestral home and is not a commercial property. We have caretakers who are at the property 24X7 whereas our family is at the property occasionally but reachable over phone anytime to respond to any guest queries.

Property info

A peaceful, neat and clean place with a beautiful garden and a large central lawn and a swing to relax. Gracious hosts who treat their guests as family. Featured as one of the recommended Homestay places for tourists in Sarnath on Lonely Planet.

Neighborhood info

Vatika Homestay is located in the heart of Sarnath (diagonally opposite the Tibetan Temple) which is considered one of the most holy places for Buddhists. Sarnath is where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon, The Dhamekh Stupa (walking distance away) still stands testimony to the same amongst the old Buddhist Monastery Ruins at Sarnath. The National Emblem of India (the Lion Capital) was also found here and can be seen in all its magnificient glory at the Archaeological Museum close by. The holy city of Varanasi with all its temples and ghats are close by. Sarnath is a perfect place to come back and relax in the quiet and peaceful environment.
