We had an apartment with 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms and a social area with table and chairs. All quite nice. Breakfast, served in the terrace, was good. Location in the old city was perfect for visiting the Ganga and all the ghats. The owners and staff were wonderful. In general we liked the place, which is a family run pension.

Varanasi is not just a place—it’s an emotion. The experience cannot truly be expressed in words; it has to be felt. The spiritual aura, the Ganga Aarti, and the timeless charm of the city make it an unforgettable destination. The only aspect that saddened me was the lack of cleanliness in many areas. As pilgrims and visitors, we all have a responsibility to maintain the sanctity of such a sacred place. Basic civic sense goes a long way in preserving its beauty and spiritual essence. Apart from that, my experience was absolutely wonderful. I sincerely request everyone visiting Varanasi to treat it as our own home and keep it clean. This is our country, our heritage, and it is our collective responsibility to protect and preserve it for future generations.

The City is filled with people. So many people all around.

The City is filled with people. So many people all around. And you feel some type of power in the city. Must stay at Good hotels, many people try to trick you. Beware of such people and pickpockets, but overall. Great place lovely city. Good food choices. Lovely visit. Ganges and boat ride and everything. Perfect. Mix of bad and good. Something of a complete vacation with ups and down. Easy to travell. Tuk and Auto rickshaw are availabe. I stayed at radisson. all big hotel chains Taj Radisson all are great.

The city is congested, and you often come across piles of...

The city is congested, and you often come across piles of garbage. When a city is as old and significant as Varanasi, both in terms of tourism and spirituality, it is the moral obligation of the local administration to ensure proper sanitation. Many famous spots were littered with trash and smelled unpleasant. I genuinely wouldn’t recommend visiting Varanasi, especially in the summer.

Varanasi has a great history and most important place in Hinduism. It is great to explore the ancient city on foot by walking. The streets are narrow and street food especially milk related products are worth exploring. Despite its importance and holiness, I wish people travelling there would have had more sense to not litter the river Ganga or the city. People lack basic civic sense. The shop owners near temple, eRickshaw wallas, Boat rides, priests are big scammers with main aim to loot tourists. Don't book cabs if you plan to travel within the city.

"Words cannot describe Kashi; it is not just a place, it is an experience. I have visited four times, and I had a completely different experience every single time. It calls you back again and again. If you want to witness the Aarti, see the morning Aarti at Assi Ghat and the evening Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat. Take a dip in Ganga Maiya. However, if you are too emotional, you are not ready to sit at Manikarnika Ghat. This is not a tourist spot; the spirits here are real. Do not expect hygiene everywhere you go—just ignore it and enjoy your stay in Varanasi. My favorite spot was the balcony view from Hotel Arka."

Varanasi is vibrant ancient city and equipped with every possible thing you can think of. Worldclass Universities, top medical care, holy vibes, The Ganga and its devotees, narrow-wide roads for shopping, best street food and so on... I would recommend everyone to visit this city once.

Being so close to the temple meant we could visit several times a day. The hotel provided a very peaceful environment to meditate after the intense energy of the temple. Housekeeping was punctual, and the bathroom was very clean. For a spiritual trip, this is easily one of the best choices in Varanasi.
