When we designed the accommodations, we wanted to embrace the history of the place and the farmers who had lived here in nature through the centuries. There are fantastic views of the Black sand beach, Eyjafjallajökull Volcano, Mýrdalsjökull and Southern lowlands to the Atlantic ocean. One of the unique qualities of Farmhouse Lodge is its location in the country where no light or traffic pollution exists. It is within a 2-hour approximation from the most scenic attractions in south Iceland for an endless list of leisure activities and you can reach the most scenic attractions within a day from the Farmhouse, for example, it is only a two-hour drive to Glacier Lagoon and Vatnajokull National Park. It is optimal to have a base at Farmhouse and enjoy your adventurous travel during the day and enjoy quiet evenings.
