Kotstekksás is located in a peaceful and scenic area of West Iceland, surrounded by mountains, birch trees, and beautiful countryside views. Guests love the privacy and tranquility while still being close to many of the region’s top attractions.
The charming town of Borgarnes is only a short drive away and offers restaurants, cafés, grocery stores, and local museums. Nearby attractions include Krauma Geothermal Baths, the stunning Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls, Reykholt, and numerous hiking opportunities.
The area is also an excellent base for exploring the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, often called “Iceland in Miniature” due to its diverse landscapes. After a day of sightseeing, guests can return to the cabin to relax in the geothermal hot tub and enjoy the peaceful Icelandic nature.
During winter, the area offers excellent opportunities to see the Northern Lights, while summer brings long bright evenings and beautiful sunsets.
