I´m Kári Viðarsson, The manager and artistic director of the The Freezer, a former fish factory now turned into a hot spot for travellers seeking a place to stay, meet people and take part in artistic events of all sorts. The Freezer is a place that offers accommodation as well as art and culture to it's guests. I am a professional actor and also the grandson of the people that built the Freezer apartments.

Property info

This place is situated in one of the oldest houses in the town of Hellissandur and has a lot of historical value for the area. The Bookstore Apartment was actually the town's bookstore, run by my grandmother for decades before being turned into this wonderful themed apartment / library

Neighborhood info

The neighborhood is on the doorstep of Snæfellsjökull Glacier national park. Within it you will find many lava fields, beaches, craters, flora, mountains, viewpoints, waterfalls, rich bird life and everything else that the Icelandic nature has to offer. This area is usually referred to as "Iceland in a nutshell" because here you can see so many things without having to travel long distances in between. I grew up here and can safely say that it's one of the most beautiful places in Iceland and probably on earth.
