Warm, clean, and comfortable. Great breakfast included, buffet-style so you can eat as much as you'd like. Free parking. A few minutes walk from a gas station that has a little store so you can buy some snacks or essentials. Wifi worked well. Hair dryer in the bathroom. Quiet so I rested well. I saw the northern lights from my bedroom window!!

I liked that it was one of the cheapest stays in Iceland. It was very accessible to places I wanted to cover in the Snaefellness peninsula. It was just 25mins from Kirkufell to hike and also just 30mins to the Snæfellsjökull national park too. The staff were very friendly, they've created a very communal atmosphere, they encouraged me to sing in the Karaoke nights.

The location was excellent! Wonder walking distance to the maritime museum and playground. The view and deck were spectacular!

Location! Truly beautiful location right at the entrance to Snæfellsnes National Park. The view of the ocean allowed for watching seals and sea birds as well as beautiful sunsets. Really can’t explain the location, it’s incredible!

The location of the house is great, and we loved being able to walk on the beach and see all the many murals. The house itself is older, showing its age, and the listing hasn't been updated to match reality. For example, a foldout sofa was shown (which we'd hoped to use), and it was not there. Our main problem with the property was bad communications with the owner, as we showed up and had been given no info on how to get into the (not cleaned) house.

A recently renovated apartment, Grund in Ólafsvík offers accommodations in Ólafsvík. The apartment also provides free Wifi, free private parking, and facilities for disabled guests.

Grund was a warm and cozy respite from cold and extremely windy weather. The apartment was in a fantastic location in town - a short walk from the one small grocery store, a restaurant, and a waterfall. It was also an easy drive to all the amazing sights in the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. The kitchen and bathroom were recently updated. The kitchen has all you might need to cook - including an ample supply of spices and oils to use. All in all this was an amazing place to stay for our first two nights in Iceland.
