Santa Croce is a quiet area, little frequented by mass tourism, with a typically Venetian atmosphere. In the surroundings there is the Campo S.Giacomo, where there are numerous bars, restaurants and supermarkets. A few steps from the Grand Canal, the imposing Fondaco dei Turchi exhibits exhibitions on natural history, while the nearby Palazzo Ca 'Pesaro offers works of contemporary art and decorative objects.
