Property info

Our house is a small fort from the 15th century, surrounded by the hills behind the Subasio Mountain and Assisi. Completely renovated, the old atmosphere has been preserved and enhanced. Peace and silence, a restoring sleep, fresh and full of stars nights, a healthy and local breakfast, also with products from the farms nearby, this is what you will find here. Hills, paths, fresh streams will be there for your walks. The house is also perfect for small family and friends reunions. We are confident that everything you need is exploring the beautiful Umbrian hills and mountains, to relax and recharge yourself, enjoy nature, clean air and tasty food. But just let us remind you that in our area there is phone signal and WIFI only on common areas. This will be a completely digital-detox stay!

Neighborhood info

The building is full of history, grown on the romanic ruins of a small village, it was a small medieval fort and was home to ancient families and also a little friars community, Marcofrate is the old name coming from Frate (friar) Marco. It is built in stone, with deep and solid walls, you will feel like going back in the past. Our property hosts also a small church, belonging to the old village from the past. We are on the old way reaching Spello and Assisi, on the less known side of the Subasio Mountain, where you will find many secret places full of history and still not so crowded. Surrounded by peace and silence, our property of 21 ha. will be soon completed by garden and a panoramic pool, currently under project. Stay tuned! Less than half an hour from Assisi, Rasiglia, Trevi, Spoleto, Bevagna, Montefalco and many other enchanting places to see. Our location is perfect, less than 3km from the freeway. If you decide not to move too much, we'll recommend you beautiful tracks nearby or nice small villages and historical places to see.
