Casa Colonia is an independent house of approximately 75m2 spread over two floors connected by a beautiful 14-step staircase. The entrance door opens onto the ground floor consisting of a welcoming living area distributed between a living room furnished with a comfortable sofa, an open kitchen equipped with a wall cabinet and a small service bathroom with washing machine. The space is illuminated by a large window with a view of the nearby medieval stone houses. The staircase leads to the sleeping area where there is a comfortable double bed and a spacious bathroom with shower. The harmony between the modern and vintage furnishings and the soft colors of the apartment blend perfectly with the light wooden beamed ceiling, making it a pleasant and welcoming place. The house, located in the center of Cortona, does not have private outdoor spaces, but a few steps away our guests can reach a very particular panoramic point. Casa Colonia is the ideal place to spend a few days in a medieval village not so far away to reach other small towns and cities of art in Tuscany and Umbria. All essential services in Cortona are within walking distance of Casa Colonia. The house is located within the city walls, in the ZTL area. A couple of free and paid car parks can be reached in a few minutes on foot. From Casa Colonia, a short walk takes you to the city center which offers small craft shops, ice cream parlors and restaurants, or you can enjoy a good glass of wine while sitting comfortably in the square while admiring the "struscio" of passers-by.

Casa Colonia is located in a central position, a few steps from the central square Piazza della Repubblica. Guests will easily reach a Minimarket, and via Nazionale- where most of the shops are located. This beautiful medieval town is rich in history and art, but also excellent restaurants (such as Osteria del Teatro or Trattoria Toscana), cafes (Bar Signorelli) and ice-cream parlors. All are within walking distance from Casa Colonia. Guests can visit Museo Diocesano or take a stroll all the way up to the top of the hill, where the Church of Santa Margherita is located. Given its location in the historic center, there is no parking adjacent to the property, but you can leave your car in one of the free parking lots outside the walls, about 5 minutes walk from the apartment. Thanks to its location, Cortona is the ideal starting point to explore Tuscany and Umbria, either by train or by car.
