Casa Lumaca is part of a building dated between 1600 and the 1700.The building actually is devided in some residential units; it has been completely renovated trying to mantain the original style of the palace of which it was part. The lake is only 10'walking distance to the beautiful Teresio Olivelli Park with direct access to the lake. Casa Lumaca is very near to the main Villas and attraction of the lake as Villa Carlotta and Villa Balbianello, Sacro Monte in Ossuccio, Cadenabbia ferry boat to reach the famous villages on the other side as Bellagio, Varenna, Bellano..We can organize tour of the lake with private boat. When weather conditions are good we serve breakfast in the spacious garden: fresh orange juice, eggs, home made lemon and cherry marmelade (when available), home made cakes and selection of sweet and salted products like local cheese and ham. Fresh fruit salad always available. In other words At Casa Lumaca we want try to make you feel at home: We will try to satisfy your requests with discretion offering you a real and sincere welcome with the possibility of eating organic food at 0-miles. You are very welcome!!

One of the strongest point of the House is its location: Casa Lumaca is located in Tremezzina one of the best area of the lake because of the climate and because it is near to the major attractions as Villa Carlotta (reachable by foot) Villa Balbiano e Balbianello, other beautiful villages as Menaggio, Griante, Ossuccio with its Santuario del Sacro Monte. If you like walking I'd like to suggest you to walk along the Green Way (https//:greenwaylagodicomo.com) a wonderful walk from Colonno to Griante, about 11 Km to discover hidden corners, beautiful views, ancient and peaceful villages. Closest to the house there are very good restaurants that we can reserve in advance for you. PARKING INFORMATION: WE WOULD LIKE TO INFORM YOU THAT CASA LUMACA IS REACHABLE ONLY ON FOOT. THE BUILDING IS LOCATED WITHIN AN HISTORICAL VILLAGE. THERE ARE 3 LITTLE PARKING AREAS JUST FEW METRES FROM THE HOUSE. HERE YOU CAN LIVE THE CAR ONLY FOR 2 HOURS AND THIS IS FINE TO UNLOAD LUGGAGE FROM THE CAR. JUST 150 METRES FROM THE HOUSE THERE IS A PUBLIC PARKING AREA WHERE IS POSSIBILE TO LIVE THE CAR WITHOUT TIME LIMITS: THIS PARKING AREA IS FREE.
