Nestled in the heart of the authentic Valle d’Itria, Casale del Musico celebrates silence and the beauty of nature. We are Chiara and Silvestro, together for 12 years. In search of a slower life, in tune with the rhythms of nature, we moved to this little piece of paradise that is the Valle d’Itria. Looking for a name that would represent both a composer and an art historian, “Il Musico” came to mind. A gentle figure, he delighted the Italian and European courts, and proudly posed for portraits by artists such as Leonardo, Titian, and Caravaggio.

Casale del Musico is located in Locorotondo, one of the most charming villages in Italy, in the heart of the enchanting Valle d’Itria, a land of trulli, dry stone walls, olive groves, vineyards, and gentle hills. Its privileged location allows guests to reach iconic destinations within minutes, such as Alberobello (5 km), Martina Franca (6 km), Cisternino (10 km), Conversano, and Fasano (20 km). The sea is nearby and offers a double horizon: the golden beaches and coves of the Adriatic – including Monopoli, Egnazia, and Polignano a Mare – and the crystal-clear waters of the Ionian Sea, all within easy reach. Completing the experience is the unspoiled nature of the Torre Guaceto Nature Reserve, a protected paradise less than an hour away. The region is not only about landscapes: it also preserves artistic and archaeological treasures. Not to be missed is the Archaeological Museum of Egnazia, which tells millennia of history through Messapian and Roman remains, and the MArTA in Taranto, one of the most important archaeological museums in Europe, home to the renowned Ori di Taranto collection.
