I do not have a favorite place because every corner of Peschiera is distinctive and Lake Garda conveys visions and unforgettable colors. A local old wise man that I knew said that, “ Garda Lake is the most beautiful place in the world.” I start by saying that, although not easy to describe oneself, I am a kind and accomodating person. I love the Lake in every season; I love swimming and cycling. During the Winter I listen to the silence that surrounds the town and often I devote myself to reading a nice book.

PESCHIERA DEL GARDA WHERE THE LAKE BECOMES RIVER…. Fiori sull’Acqua Apartments are located in a building dated from the eighteenth-nineteenth century period. The building faces directly over the Canale Di Mezzo, one of the beautiful canals running through the residential center. Inevitably, during this long period of time the building has undergone many changes, in part due to the war events that have affected the historic center of Peschiera del Garda. The existence of the building can be observed in a lithography by Von Sandmann, taken from an authentic drawing by Franz Von Welden, representing the Historycal Town during the artillery bombardment Sardo-Piemontese of May 27, 1848. The building has been displaying its current appearance since the middle of the 1900’s. The presence of a large terrace stretching along the entire north façade and its window and door frames of stones and tuff make this a unique and distinctive building. In 2012, the apartments on the first and second floor have undergone restoration that allowed the opening of a new tourist activity: Vacation Home. A place so full of history and charm, where every guest can enjoy unforgettable hours.

Peschiera del Garda, located in the southern part of the Lake, offers numerous leisure activities to tourists who opt to stay. Following the road along Lake Garda, whether on the Verona or the Brescia coast,one can comes across many pretty villages to visit. Malcesine (45km) with its castle and the cable car to the summit of Monte Baldo (2200m above sea level); Sirmione (8 km) with the Scaligero Castle and the Grotte di Catullo, Roman settlement,this are only some examples. Peschiera del Garda is the ideal destination for tourists who prefer water sports like sailing, boating, swimming and windsurfing, but that’s not all; in fact, from Peschiera begins the bike path that connects Mantova along the Mincio River, which is ideal for running as well as cycling, roller skate or just walking. After about 13 km Borghetto, an enchanted place that is definetely worth a stopover can be reached.
