Flavia’s House is situated in Gaggi, an authentic village where time seems to pass slowly, marked by traces of Arab rule, remnants of a faded nobility, and the gentle flow of water that tells stories of borders and conquests. Guests can visit the charming Borgo of Cavallaro, the oldest part of the village, characterized by narrow lava-stone alleyways that preserve the atmosphere of a bygone era.

The story of Flavia’s House was born in the heart of Sicily, in a small village in the province of Messina: San Pier Niceto. It was here, within the warmth of a simple and authentic community, that she first saw the light of day. At the age of just three, together with her family, she left for Venezuela, a distant land that became the cradle of her growth. In that country, she discovered new cultures, new friendships that shaped her as a woman. Yet her bond with Sicily was never broken. During a vacation in Sicily, she met Giuseppe. Love convinced her to stay, and thus Sicily once again became her true home. In 1985, their son Antonio was born. Signora Flavia was known and loved by all: a simple woman, yet with a great heart, always ready to help others without ever asking for anything in return. Her kindness and benevolence left a deep mark on everyone who met her. In 2019, Signora Flavia passed away but her memory continues to live on, rooted in the gestures, smiles, and hearts of those who loved her. Flavia’s House was created as a tribute to this extraordinary woman: a place that carries forward the values of hospitality, and humanity that she embodied throughout her life.
