Thanks to the renovation work completed in July 2020, we have created an apartment that we make available to our guests. The name is a tribute to the Huonder family, where Alberto’s mother comes from. Arriving from Switzerland it started its butchery business here. Every detail, is the result of a careful and personal work, with attention to the smallest details as if it were our home. With our dedication, our love and your advice, we try to constantly improve. The dècore is cozy and comfortable in a modern style. The residence is fully equipped, with crockery and appliances. There is also air conditioning, free wi-fi, smart TV and play station 2. Suitable for both couples and small families or groups of friends, they have everything you need to enjoy your stay stress-free. It has a covered and reserved parking 100 meters from the house, whose entrance is allowed with a magnetic card provided at the time of check-in. It is possible to unload and load luggage by accessing the internal courtyard of the structure
We are Paola and Alberto. After working together in the world of artistic gymnastics almost 40 years, we decided to embark on this new adventure. We love our city and we want our guests to take home with them a nice memory of it and maybe come back to visit us. We like to welcome our guests in person, have a chat with them and offer our advice on how to experience the city to the fullest.
Huonder House is centrally located, yet away from the hustle and bustle. It is ideal for a peaceful stay. It is an excellent starting point for trekking or skiing in the mountains or to reach the beautiful beaches on the shores of Lake Lecco. In a few minutes’ walk you can reach the train station, the boat embarkation on the lake, the university and the hospital. The city bus stop is 50 metres from the house. Famous cities or art such as Milan, Bergamo and Como, but are within easy reach, as well as beautiful lakeside villages such as Varenna, Bellagio or the lesser-known Mandello and Bellano. Lecco is easily accessible from Malpensa airport (75.8 km by car, 2 hours by train), Linate airport (55.8km by car, 1 hour and 20 minutes by train) and Bergamo airport (50km by car, 1 hour and 10 minutes by train).
