La Rosamarina fu costruita nel 1800 dal Capitano di veliero Giovanni Barnao che la abitò fino a quando, all'inizio del 1900, emigrò in l'Australia dove ancora oggi vivono i suoi discendenti. Il Capitano era un personaggio molto importante. Questa casa veniva chiamata "Casa Mammano" perché le donne di famiglia erano le "levatrici" dell'isola. La casa è stata mantenuta e ristrutturata nel più puro stile eoliano. La Rosamarina è costituita da tre unità: quella più antica, che è abitata dagli attuali proprietari; la seconda che è composta da due stanze, ciascuna con il proprio bagno, un grande soggiorno comune dal quale si accede alle stanze ed un patio arredato: sono la stanza gialla e l'azzurra. La terza unità detta Depandance è una stanza con bagno annesso, ingresso indipendente e un piccolo patio esclusivo. Dal giardino,con tantissime piante e fiori,si vedono il vulcano e Strombolicchio. La posizione invidiabile garantisce una quiete assoluta e la vicinanza sia al mare che al centro del paese.
Ho girato quasi tutto il mondo e posso dire che un posto come Stromboli è unico. Vivo sull'isola alcuni mesi l'anno. Amo fare lunghe passeggiate e mi intrattengo spesso con gli abitanti dell'isola che sono molto cordiali. Ho molti amici tra di loro. Amo i cani e leggo molto.
A pochi passi dalle spiagge di Piscità e di Fico Grande immersa nel verde puoi trovare il massimo relax.
