Happy home to 4 family generations, in April 2018 Le Rondini a Roma has been opened to travelers who want to experience the real flavor of living in Rome. The apartment is located on the 4th floor of a building dating back to early 1900s, the bedrooms overlook a tranquil courtyard of a nunnery and are surrounded by the beautiful Roman sky! The flat still has the antique flooring and in the kitchen and bathrooms it is still possible to see the ceiling made of bricks with stamps of the factory that made them in the 1800s. The swallows that fly in front of the windows, inspired the name of the flat, and they will cheerfully welcome you with their chirps.
Three cousins, one dream: enable travelers to experience the beauty of living in a oasis in the center of Rome and by the Colosseum. We love our city and have travelled extensively around the world and what we love most is being travelers more than tourists. Living in a local neighborhood, in a building where locals live, is what makes us feel "at home" anywhere we go, and this is what we want our guests to experience. Piero is an architect and has a passion for arts and history and he will be more than happy to give you hints on things to do and see off the beaten path. Daniela has a passion for details and delicious food and she knows all of the small shops in the neighborhood where you can find delicacies and where all the women of our family used to go shopping. Annalisa speaks 6 languages and is a world traveller who always returns to Rome... and not only because of throwing coins in the Trevi Fountain! Her passion is to share her enthusiasm and love for Rome and has a great ability in making guests feel at home in a moment when sharing all tips and secret jewels this wonderful ethereal city can offer.
The flat is strategically located at few minutes walking distance to the Coliseum and to 3 major basilicas (St. John Lateran, St. Marie Major, S. Clemente). The Colle Oppio park at 2 minutes walk and the Villa Celimontana park at 10 minutes walk guarantee fresh air and breeze in the Summer and lots of birds cheering your mornings, and if you like jogging... what a better place to do it then in Colle Oppio park where you will enjoy a magnificent view of the Coliseum? Le Rondini a Roma is extremely easy to walk anywhere and very well served by public transportation (subways and buses) and 10 minutes away from Rome Termini Railway Station. If you are driving to Rome, parking in the street is also available. The area is very quiet and local, there are several local food shops, coffee shops and supermarkets nearby and it is walking distance to two of Rome's best local dining areas, Monti and Celio.
