Masseria Pietra e Terra is an intimate four-guestroom retreat surrounded by olive groves and an organic vineyard in the sun-soaked Valle d’Itria. Once an ancient farmhouse, now thoughtfully restored with the latest modern comforts, our walls preserve the stories and spirit of generations past and inspire the making of new and lasting memories. Named for the stone and earth that come together to form this peaceful setting, the masseria’s expansive grounds, serene common areas, and private, intentionally appointed rooms and suites invite deep relaxation and calm. This is slow luxury, connected to the land, seasons, and heritage of Puglia. We look forward to welcoming you.

Michele grew up in Puglia. Julia didn't. They met in college, made a life in New York City, raised two boys — Luca and Andrea — and for fourteen years, lived the kind of fast-paced life that cities demand. But something deeper was growing alongside their careers. A quiet longing. A dream to return — not just to a place, but to a way of living. In 2018, that dream turned into coordinates: twelve wild hectares tucked between Ostuni and the Adriatic. An abandoned masseria. Gnarled olive trees. Land that hadn't seen vines in decades. The first thing Michele did was plant. 2.4 hectares of Susumaniello, Ottavianello, and Fiano—grapes native to this very soil. Four years later, those vines bore their first fruit: 8,000 bottles of wine that speak the language of this land. Then in 2023, they began restoring the building itself. Stone by stone. Story by story.
