Rivola group immediately concentrated on offering comfortable rooms, memory foam beds, clean bathrooms, and continental buffet breakfasts. Moreover, thanks to the collaboration of an Italian IT company and thanks also to the European fund for digitization, we were able to create an automatic check-in system to meet the needs of all our guests, allowing check-in in facilities, at any time, fast and safe.

At Palazzo Rivola you will savor the evocative atmosphere of our rooms, where the old meets the modern. It will welcome you with the checkin on the first floor, a large garden and on the side, an original 18th-century fresco. On the second floor, you will find a drink corner where you can enjoy a good coffee, herbal tea or refreshing freshwater. The living room, characterized by an original 17th-century terracotta, is the right environment to enjoy a generous continental breakfast, overlooking a floral master garden.

Palazzo Rivola is located in a relaxing and silent environment in the heart of the upper town, a few meters (50m) from the main square of the upper town, Piazza Vecchia. Bergamo Alta (also known as the Upper City or, in the past, the city, as opposed to the villages) is a medieval city, surrounded by ramparts built in the 16th century, during the Venetian domination, which was added to the pre-existing fortifications. The historic center is to be visited entirely on foot, from the funicular to the lower city, to that for San Vigilio. Walking in streets that still smell of history and mystery. You can visit many places of interest, such as the Duomo, the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, the Fontana del Lantro, the castle of San Vigilio, the Venetian walls, the positions of the cannons, and even the tower of the Gombito, the Rocca and many other things yet.
