I am an art conservator who loves restoring antique objects and furnishings, while also appreciating modern design and natural elements. For this reason, the furnishings of the property have been personally curated and adapted to the surrounding environment. Together with my husband Vincenzo, an engineer with a long background in corporate management, we take care of the Relais and live within the property itself: a life choice that led us to move from the city of Rome to this place of the heart, where we first met as teenagers. The uniqueness and value of our property led us to establish the Borgo Campello Foundation, which is dedicated to preserving all the works of art within it, such as the medieval frescoes that require an important and urgent conservation restoration, as well as the texts that recount the history of the Borgo and the Monastery, in order to preserve them for future generations.

Relais Borgo Campello is composed of: - rooms and independent apartments located within the Castle of Campello Alto, the medieval village; - rooms located in the medieval Monastery, formerly the ancient cells of the Benedictine cloistered nuns. The Castle and the Monastery are approximately 250 meters apart, connected by a pleasant path that can be covered either on foot or by car. Services in the Castle: Otium Wellness Center and the Private SPA (extra services available upon reservation and at an additional charge), offering a pleasant moment of relaxation. Services in the Monastery: Sapori nel Borgo Restaurant, open for breakfast and dinner with a splendid view over the valley; the Bar with gardens and terraces; and another relaxation area, the Cella Quietis, designed for an intimate couple experience. The Reception is located in the main building, the Monastery, with a convenient unloading area for luggage. Parking areas are located just a few dozen meters from both buildings. Here, restful sleep, nature, and the charm of antiquity blend together perfectly. The Relais is situated on a hill just a few kilometers from Spoleto and the Clitunno Springs, in a strategic position at the center of Umbria’s main art cities (Assisi, Montefalco, Bevagna, Rasiglia, Foligno, Spello, Trevi, Norcia, and Cascia). It lies along the Way of St. Francis, making it ideal for trekking, walking, and cycling enthusiasts. Always attentive to the needs of our Guests, yet respectful of the original medieval setting, our spaces have been designed to combine modern functionality and comfort with an essential, minimalist touch. The property is safe from a seismic risk perspective, as it has been recently rebuilt and restored in full compliance with the strictest current anti-seismic regulations.

There are countless small parish churches and villages to visit, as well as renowned art cities. Spoleto, Assisi, Spello, Bevagna, Montefalco, Trevi, Foligno, Gubbio, Cascia, Norcia, and Perugia: these are just some of the most important centers, all within a short drive from the Relais. Here you may rediscover local food-and-wine traditions as well as traditional craftsmanship. Numerous artisan workshops dedicated to glass, wood, ceramics, and handwoven textiles with ancient patterns, along with folkloric events in historical costume, will make you feel as though you have stepped back in time. The Way of St. Francis passes through our village, and it is possible to follow various itineraries in search of self-discovery and of historic villages.
