Hi, my name is Josephine. I am Dutch, living in Italy and married to a true Venetian. This house has been in my husband's family for three generations, so it's a place full of history and special memories. After a complete renovation in 2019 and refit in 2025, we are very happy to re-open our apartment to guests from all over the world. I'll be delighted to welcome you and share tips to help you discover the city like a local.

Our apartment is located in the charming district of Santa Croce – besides charming its also the most convenient place to arrive in Venice, because it's the first district whether you come by train, car, or bus. Just around the corner to the left, you’ll find some restaurants and bars, along with beautiful little squares and alleys to explore. A local favorite for families is Campo San Giacomo, only a 5-minute walk away. Here you can truly experience everyday Venetian life: pick up fresh fruits and vegetables at Ortofrutta S. Giacomo, enjoy a very good ice cream at Gelato di Natura, or sip a refreshing aperitivo at one of the bars. Heading in the other direction, just one minute away, is Rio Marin – a picturesque canal with some small bistros and pastry shops. Stop at the Conad grocery store for your daily needs and enjoy sweet treats at Pasticceria Rio Marin, or discover in the side street the excellent local wines at Cantina da Fior. Strolling further will bring you to Campo dei Frari, home to the impressive Basilica dei Frari and surrounded by lively cafés and shops.
