The "Secret Garden Chalet" is located just 500 metres from the fine sandy beach and the crystal-clear water. The entire property extends over 3,500 square metres with mature trees, olive trees, palm trees, cacti and a breathtaking sea view. There are many beautiful places on the grounds that invite you to linger and relax.

Welcome to the Secret Garden Chalet. we are a married couple who have moved to Puglia. we are happy to help our guests with advice and assistance. the property is located about 500 metres from the beach in a private road. the view of the sea and the coast is unobstructed. we have chalet no. 1, which can accommodate 3 adults and a baby/toddler. chalet no. 2 is designed for 2 adults and 1 baby. there are many quiet and beautiful places on the property that invite you to linger and relax.

Situated on the Gulf of Taranto, San Pietro in Bevagna is today a sprawling villa settlement that is full of life depending on the season. The lovingly restored Torre San Pietro, which is now a church, is the centre of this charming village, surrounded by the once "wild" beach houses and villas. Of course, the main attraction is the approximately 10 km long, fine sandy beach of San Pietro in Bevagna and the Ionian Sea. It goes without saying that the town has catered for the tourist trade and there are plenty of opportunities along the coastal road. But San Pietro also offers the tranquillity and hospitality of the south. Of course, the Chidro River must also be mentioned. This river flows for kilometres underground through Italy and then comes to the surface in the nature reserve of San Pietro in Bevagna near the sea. From there, the ice-cold water flows directly into the Ionian Sea. In the hot months, tourists gather there to cool off with a dip in the Chidro. The river Chidro is also the protagonist of numerous legends here in Salento. The history of this watercourse even seems to be linked to St Peter the Apostle, who stopped at its mouth on his return to Rome to perform his first baptisms for all the inhabitants of Bevagna at the time. Hence the name, San Pietro. Continuing along the coastal road, the path leads through the Specchiarica to the next nature reserve. An old salt works that is now inhabited by flamingos and an unrivalled variety of species. The route leads to the idyllic fishing village of Torre Colimena. Here you can find the famous red tuna and, of course, the Torre. The harbour is old school and well worth a visit, and the many fish restaurants are also highly recommended. From there you can continue to Punta Prosciutto with several restaurants and bistros right on the beach equipped with tables or sunbeds.
