My husband and I love travelling and long walks, so we understand how much a convenient location, a comfortable night's sleep and small thoughtful details matter. I'm a financier by training and love order and thoughtful planning in everything — from organising the space to guest service. We furnished our rooms ourselves and personally take care of every guest. For us this is not just a property, but a place where people rest, recharge and take home warm memories of their travels. We love discovering new places and sharing our finds, so we've prepared recommendations and a little city guide for you. It makes us sincerely happy when guests feel calm and safe and plan their time freely — whether it's a work trip, a romantic weekend or a family holiday. Although check-in is self-service, you're never on your own: we're always available in the chat and reply quickly — before your trip, at check-in and throughout your stay. "The Moment" - is four private guest rooms (hotel-style, not a separate apartment) on the 3rd floor of a historic building in central Bergamo, 7 minutes on foot from the train and bus stations. Note before booking: there is no elevator (about 60 steps) and no full breakfast — but complimentary croissants and biscuits await you, and you can easily cook pasta with tomato sauce: everything you need is in the kitchen. Each room is a freshly renovated private space with stylish decor: private bathroom with shower and bidet, air conditioning, mini-fridge, comfortable bed with a pillow menu, work desk with fast Wi-Fi and a smart TV. We care about details like a good hotel: premium hotel-quality bed linen, hairdryer, shampoo, shower gel and hand soap with clean formulas from premium Italian brands, plus disposable slippers and dental kits. Three rooms with a double bed also have a sofa bed for a party of four. Note: four in one room may feel a bit cramped, so for families and groups we recommend booking two adjoining rooms (1 & 2 or 3 & 4) — practically a private apartment: two rooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen just for your group. There are two kitchens, each shared by only two rooms. Each has a stove, coffee machine, kettle, full cookware, dishes and glasses, and a cosy dining nook. Coffee, tea and sugar are always at hand; birthdays and honeymooners get a free bottle of sparkling wine. Arriving by car? Parking by the building is free for 1 hour in the daytime and overnight from 7:30 pm to 9 am; there is a paid covered car park nearby (open 6 am–9 pm, no car pick-up at night). Check-in is self-service with a door code, at any hour — handy for late arrivals. Online guest registration is required before arrival: once done, you'll get a link with your digital key. Guests love our neighbourhood because you can feel both the lively rhythm of the city and the atmosphere of old Italy at the same time. Our building is in a very convenient spot: Bergamo airport is about 15 minutes away by bus (the stop is nearby), and the train and bus stations are a few minutes on foot, so getting to us and continuing your journey is easy. If you prefer a door-to-door ride, we can arrange an airport transfer for an extra fee — just message us in advance. In 10–15 minutes you can walk to the historic centre and the funicular that takes you up to Città Alta with its cobbled streets, towers and city views. Down in Città Bassa, it's lovely to stroll along Via XX Settembre and the Sentierone with their shops, bars and cafés, and across Piazza Dante and Piazza Matteotti. Culture lovers will enjoy the Donizetti Theatre, Torre dei Caduti and the GAMeC and Accademia Carrara museums — easy to combine with a walk through the centre. Our area is a great base for day trips around Lombardy: the scenic lakes Iseo, Como and Garda, the thermal resort of San Pellegrino Terme and the Franciacorta vineyards with wine tastings are all within reach. The bus station next door makes it easy to plan a day out — visit a lake or the thermal baths and come back to relax in the evening; Milan is about 45 minutes away, so you can combine Bergamo with a visit to the capital of fashion and design. There are plenty of trattorias, pizzerias and bars nearby: from cosy aperitivo spots to restaurants with seafood and desserts. After dinner, simply walk home: the area is safe and lively, while our rooms remain a quiet, peaceful retreat after a busy day.
