Just 131 feet from restored Edo-era post town Magome-Juku, Chaya Hotel has simple traditional rooms with futon bedding and a tatami-mat floor. It has a hot public bath, and Japanese meals are available for a fee. The basic rooms have shoji paper screens and a low table. All rooms are air-conditioned. Bathrooms and toilets are shared. Magome Chaya is 5 mi from Tsumago Town and a 90-minute train ride from JR Nagoya Station. JR Nakatsugawa Station is a 20-minute bus ride away, while Nakasendo Mountain Tea House is a 70-minute walk from the property. The lobby has free Wi-Fi access, and a shared-use microwave and fridge are on offer. A coin-operated washing machine is available. Guests can use the shared showers 24/7.
