Lake Yamanaka is a popular tourist spot representing Yamanashi Prefecture. It is cool in the summer and blessed with good quality hot springs, so it flourished as a summer resort and a villa ground. There are many spots that you can enjoy from children to adults, and it is also ideal for family trips and couples dating. Lake Yamanaka is the closest lake to Mt. Fuji in Fuji Goko, and you can see the magnificent view of Mt. Fuji at hand. Especially the scenery at dusk is beautiful, the view of Mt. Fuji and the lake stained in sunset is a magnificent view. In autumn leaves are splendidly colored, and you can enjoy the exquisite contrast of autumn leaves and Fuji. Lake Yamanaka is relatively cool in the summer because of its high altitude, and has long been popular as a summer resort. The average temperature in the summer is around 20 degrees, and in the midsummer it is rare that the temperature will exceed 30 degrees. At the lake, water sports such as yachts and windsurfing are actively being conducted and it is the best to forget the heat of the summer.
