Everything about the house, the furniture and the color schemes are beautiful. It is a very peaceful place, perfect for enjoying the Fuji area. We stayed for two nights. The sauna is available for an extra fee, but it’s totally worth it—not just for the sauna itself, but also for the amenities provided and the lovely Japanese bath afterward. Anothother highlight was a private shabu shabu (japanese hotpot meal) that can be arranged for dinner. The location is great, next to a bust top and easily reachable from Gotemba station. Staff was really friendly and helpful. They supported renting bikes, and we enjoyed a morning cycle around the lake with Mt Fuji view. Thanks Vhita!

It is a very beautiful hotel, with very friendly and kind staff who pay attention to details. We rented the onsen bath for our family. We were lucky to have wonderful weather, and Mount Fuji could be seen very clearly from the hotel. We relaxed a lot and will definitely come back again. The rooms are very clean and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent.

Yamanakako is a smaller place, but very good if you want to...

Yamanakako is a smaller place, but very good if you want to see Fuji without the massive tourist crowds. Kawaguchiko is about 50 minutes by bus if you want to have more shops. Yamanakako has a few cute cafes and nice restaurants, but depending on where you are staying some might be a bit of a walk, so renting a bike makes life a bit easier. Definitely recommend if you are looking for peaceful vibes!

The area was boring.

The area was boring. I would recommend staying near Lake Kawaguchi. It's closer to the sites and has more shops and more touristy. I wasted hours on local tourist buses which are very slow, getting to places with good views of Mt Fuji. While it can easily be seem from Yamanakako, there's no great background to it like being on a ropeway and seeing it. Everything is at Kawaguchi. I wish I read more accurate reviews when I researched.

Great location on the lake with views of Fuji in clear...

Great location on the lake with views of Fuji in clear weather. We only stayed 1 night and only managed to get 15 minutes clear view despite the forecast saying otherwise. The mountain is impressive and the location in nature is great.

Lake Yamanaka is such a pretty place - Mt.

Lake Yamanaka is such a pretty place - Mt. Fuji never showed her face during our stay for the icon lake photos but it didn’t take away from the magic. The little town just 20 mins away by bus from our domes was super cute, filled with history, culture, and more shopping.

We stayed for just one night to have the amazing view and cheaper hostel prices. One night in yamanakako, one night in kawaguchico, is perfect. Yamanakako is quieter and less touristy, which is exactly what we wanted. However, the bus schedule limits how many places you can go cuz they come every 1 hr

We did not have time to explore the town at all, but overall seemed like a beautiful place by the lake. Would highly recommend because I think this place is less mobbed by tourists that Fujikawaguchiko.

We love everything about this place—the location, the design of the house, and the prompt service through chat. Everything has been just perfect for us. The view is absolutely breathtaking, with Mount Fuji right in front of the house and just a few steps from Lake Yamanakako. The BBQ service is excellent and truly great value for money. I genuinely love everything about this house.

The staff is very sympathic. The place is well-located, even if you don't really see the Mt Fuji from the window (there is a tree which hides it), you just have to go outside to have a beautiful view of it. Also, it's near the Yamanaka lake. The price is very attractive.

Close to the lake, can see some swam and duck nearby too. Our room can see the Mt. Fuji from the window. Friendly staff. Clean and large room. We drive car to the hotel, so have free parking lot, just beside the hotel.
