This spacious studio apartment features a traditional Japanese tatami area handcrafted by a skilled tatami artisan. The nearest train station and bus stop provide easy access to central Tokyo. Convenience stores, supermarkets, a post office, and a local police box are all within walking distance, making everyday life convenient. You’ll also find restaurants serving authentic Japanese cuisine such as sushi, soba, and oden, as well as a large historic temple where you can experience Japanese culture.
Many people think of tatami as something found only in traditional Japanese-style rooms. We designed this accommodation to introduce guests to the many other ways tatami can be incorporated into modern living spaces. We also hope our international guests will enjoy not only Tokyo’s busy tourist districts but also this neighborhood, where they can experience everyday Japanese life.
While this is primarily a residential area and not home to famous tourist attractions, there are many ways to enjoy an authentic local experience. You can visit Myohoji Temple, stroll through local supermarkets, and savor traditional Japanese cuisine—all within walking distance. In addition, a nearby bus stop offers convenient direct access to both Shinjuku Station and Shibuya Station.
