This Japanese style wood house is located in Ochikura, Hakuba, the quite northern end of Hakuba village, close to the family-and-beginner-friendly ski resort - Tsugaike Ski Resort. It is surrounded by beautiful white birch woods, standing on top of a cliff, with a small creek running through an underneath valley of oak, maple and chestnut trees. The house is built on a reinforced concrete garage big enough for one 10-seat van and one 7-seat van. In this garage there is a small dry room for storage of used snow-wear and snow-equipment, which is connected with the stairs to the 1st floor of the wood house. In winter time, after your ski, you will be able to drive into the garage and put your stuff down and go up to your room without any burden. The 1st floor of this wood house has 3 bedrooms, a spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen, 2 toilets and 1 bathroom with Jacuzzi tub. The 2nd floor of this wood house has 2 bedrooms, each containing 4 bunkbeds. The stunning living and dining room has a traditional Japanese ceiling of 6-meter-high. On a blue bird day, looking out of the floor-to-ceiling windows of this room, you will be able to see through the woods, far into the snow caps of Northern Japanese Alps. The house is originally built and owned by the owner of a traditional lumber shop, who is able to use high-quality timber to build. The floor of the living room is made by original Japanese cedar without any paints. Sitting into the sofa by the fire, the delicate fragrance of cedar will quietly spread around you.
