The rooms at Amuura Beach Hotel are designed in antique Singhalese style. Each room comes with a safe, a mosquito net, and a comfortable bed for a restful sleep. The Deluxe Sea View Room has an attached private bathroom. The three remaining guest rooms share a spacious bathroom, which is located in the hallway. The days start on our wonderful terrace with a breakfast that not only indulges the stomach but also the senses. A small omelet, crispy bread, and fresh fruits - that's the foundation. But at Amuura, every breakfast is a surprise with daily changing highlights, whether it's hearty porridge or a small smoothie bowl. In our little paradise, the focus isn't just on the rooms. The Amuura Beach House is the ideal hideaway near the airport if you want to avoid crowded places like Negombo or Colombo. Located in a local area, you have an almost private beach to relax and unwind. There are many exciting things to see in the surrounding area, such as the beautiful landscaped gardens of Goffrey (famous architect) and Bewis Bawa (Lunuganga and Brief Garden), as well as the fishing harbors. There are some shops down the road (about 500m) where you can buy everyday needs and snacks. Not far away is a small spice mill where you can get fresh and high-quality spices at reasonable prices. Supermarkets, banks, etc. are in the town of Beruwala (about 1.5 km away). If you want to go out, there are restaurants and cafes on Moragalla Beach (1.5 km south). Here are some more things you can do in our area: You can take nice snorkeling trips to the Lighthouse Island, which you can see from our house. Not far from us, you can do all kinds of water sports and scuba diving. Surfing is possible at Moragalla and Bentota Beach (about 1.5 km & 7 km away). You can do river safaris and see some wild animals on the Bentota River. On Mondays, there is a market in the nearby town where you can find all the fruits and vegetables Sri Lanka has to offer. For more activities and places of interest, we can always give you advice and help organize your trips. From the Airport in Colombo it's a 90 minutes drive by taxi.
