The village is located inland within the Matara District, just 5 km from the Matara city center. This area is known for its diverse landscapes, featuring low-lying plains and gentle hills near the Nilwala River. It offers an authentic glimpse into local Sri Lankan village life, where the traditional economy is centered around cinnamon cultivation and paddy farming.
