My name is Yahia, I am originally from Marrakech. After spending many years living abroad, I returned to Morocco—my country of origin—ten years ago with my wife Juliette to open this guesthouse in the Ourika Valley. We both worked for many years in the restaurant industry and are now happy to welcome you to our haven of peace. Our wish is to offer you warm, authentic hospitality and to help you discover the valley in a different way. We imagined this place as a refuge: a simple, sincere space where you can slow down and reconnect with what truly matters. Surrounded by olive trees and orchards, bathed in greenery and light, the house blends naturally into the landscape, like a timeless refuge. Here, nature reigns supreme. Only 48 km from Marrakech, the bustle of the Red City gradually fades away, giving way to fresh air, majestic mountains, and the slow rhythm of the seasons. Although the Ourika Valley attracts many visitors, the guesthouse remains set apart, sheltered from any disturbance. Overlooking the river, the village of Taljerft has preserved its soul and authenticity. The paths that run through it stretch toward the High Atlas Mountains, inviting hikers and wanderers alike to enjoy scenic walks and more adventurous explorations. Birdsong sets the rhythm of the mornings, the river soothes the afternoons, and in winter, snow crowns the mountain peaks. The Oukaïmeden ski resort is accessible in season, while more popular sites such as Setti Fatma are easy to reach. For those wishing to discover a different side of the Ourika—quieter, wilder, and more immersive—the Yagour Plateau and many other unspoiled places await exploration.
