Welcome to Dar Yakout, a serene traditional riad in the heart of Chefchaouen’s historic blue medina. Built in 2016 on the site of a former family garden, this Andalusian-style riad spans two floors, featuring a tranquil central courtyard and a panoramic rooftop terrace with breathtaking views of the Rif Mountains and the village. Each of our guest rooms is equipped with a private bathroom, air conditioning, and is designed to provide comfort after a day exploring. We serve a delicious Moroccan breakfast on the terrace, where you can soak in the peaceful atmosphere and mountain views. On request, we also offer traditional Moroccan dinners. Our location is truly special: in the old medina, just a 5-minute walk from the famous Ras El Maa spring and steps away from the historic Onsar Mosque. Please note, the medina is a car-free zone, and while the nearest parking is about 10 minutes away, this is part of the charm—Chefchaouen is a mountain village with narrow streets, steps, and slopes. But don’t worry—our staff is always ready to help with your luggage and show you the way. The neighborhood is incredibly tranquil; you’ll hear the gentle call to prayer from the nearby mosque, adding a unique symphony to your stay. We speak English, Arabic, Spanish, and French, ensuring a warm welcome for all guests. The neighborhood is one of the most charming parts of Chefchaouen, situated right in the heart of the historic blue medina. It’s just a 5-minute walk from the famous Ras El Maa spring, and about 10 minutes on foot to the bustling plaza, the Kasbah, and the famous Hammam Square. If you take a short 15 to 20-minute walk, you can reach the Spanish Mosque, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking sunset views. As the medina is a car-free area, the village is all about narrow streets, steps, and slopes, which give it its special charm. Everything is within walking distance, and despite the hills, we are always happy to assist with your luggage to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
