A CHARMING STUDIO IN THE HEART OF AMSTERDAM. THE EELHOUSE IS LOCATED IN A LOVELY HISTORIC NEIGHBOURHOOD. THE GUESTHOUSE IS ON THE CORNER OF A STREET. THE BUILDING IN WICH THE STUDIO IS SITUATED DATES FROM 1619 AND IS OF TYPICAL AMSTERDAM STYLE WITH STEPPED GABLES The studio has modern rooms each with recently renovated bathroom and a French balcony. The Eelhouse is due to its charming look one of the most photographed guesthouses in Amsterdam. You’ll be hard pressed to find a studio more authentic but yet so charming as The Eelhouse. As the building is very old it has a traditional Dutch spiral staircase which is not suitable for less abled persons!

I'm Daphne, I'm in my mid thirties and running this guesthose now for 9 years! It's always a pleasure to meet new people and to make sure they have the best possible time in Amsterdam!

The Jordaan is compared to the rest of the town an oasis of peace with a labyrinth of narrow streets and little canals, nice for strolling around courtyards, art studios, and monumental buildings with stone tablets, old-fashioned ‘brown’ pubs, boutiques and galleries. Also it houses the best restaurants of the centre, all of them small and authentic!
