Guests often describe our bed and breakfast as cozy. In addition, it is an oasis of tranquility and so close to the busy city. The room is located in the basement of our home. The house is a national monument from 1571. But equipped with all modern comfort. You have your own entrance / entrance, toilet / shower and kitchen. You can also use the garden. The house is situated on the water front and rear. My husband and I think it is important that our guests enjoy themselves. We are proud of our city and are happy to provide information about nice sights, nice restaurants, nice markets etc. Because we also live in the building, you can always contact us with questions.
I, Annemarie, work a few days a week. I work at the Salvation Army. Ruud has since retired. He has always worked in health care. We have 4 children who are all out of the house. When Ruud retired, we started the bed and breakfast. Ruud has had a small campsite and bed and breakfast in the further past. Because of our work we are used to dealing with guests. We like that too. Meet people from all parts of the world. But we also give our guests every privacy.
The neighborhood (north) is developing rapidly. Many nice restaurants, cafes and theaters have come along the banks of the IJ in particular. In three minutes, by metro, you are in the center of Amsterdam. Our property is located on a large park (Noorderpark). You can enjoy cycling in the area. We have bicycles available for you. In 15-20 minutes you are in the center by bike.
