At the beginning of 2020, just in the corona period, we moved with our family from the Frisian Makkum to the Veluwse Wapenveld. Our family consists of parents, two children and two super sweet dogs. It has always been a dream for us to start a B&B. It was time for something different in our lives. For us the choice was clear. New construction! Not knowing about the enormously rising energy prices at the time, but purely for a sustainable future for our children. It would be a very energy-efficient house with an emphasis on sustainability. And it worked! In the 2 years that followed, we built the house completely our self. Working day and night to get the house ready for us and especially for you! My name is Mariska and I run the B&B together with my husband Marc. We warmly welcome you!

You will stay in a brand new farmhouse in the form of a hoof. The house, built under architecture, is unique in the Netherlands. Modern and fully equipped, but with a very big nod to the past. The architect has provided the local architectural style with a modern sauce and designed a beautiful home. The accommodation is fully equipped such as a private entrance, wifi, kitchen, private bathroom with various free toiletries

You will stay in the beautiful surroundings of Wapenveld. On the edge of the Veluwe at the transition to the beautiful IJssel landscape. The forest is 700 meters from the B&B easily accessible on foot, but also by bike. By bike you have access to an enormous network of cycle paths across the Veluwe, but also through the vast floodplains of the IJssel. If you are more into mountain biking, ask the host about the possibilities. He can show you the most beautiful single tracks in consultation. Game viewing is a favorite pastime of the owners. They can point out beautiful spots where the animals of the Veluwe can be viewed in peace. Of course, it is a matter of luck, but the probability is about 7/10 times. In addition to the beautiful nature, there is also a lot to see and do in the area. Hanzestad Hattem is of course fantastically beautiful, but also Zwolle with its beautiful center and many shops.
